Overview

Stanley Grange is a small intentional community for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, nestled between Preston and Blackburn.

This scheme has been delivered in three phases:

Phase One – Conversion of the existing former arts & crafts block into six one bedroom flats, one staff bedroom and a meeting room.

Phase Two – Remodelling and refurbishment of the Fountains Cottage to form eight new self-contained flats with a staff bedroom and shower room.

Phase Three – Renovation of the Stables Cottage into twelve new self-contained bedrooms with ensuites, two shared kitchens and lounges, and a staff bedroom and shower room.

Key Challenges

This contract has been undertaken on a live, residential environment and there has been considerable effort to cause minimum inconvenience to neighbours and residents.

Added Value

90% of operatives are from the local area and local supply chain have been employed on the project.

The site team has collected for local foodbank, donated materials to neighbours and supported charitable event to raise funds for the home.
