Overview

Willow Barns PFI extra care retirement village is one of three, newly constructed in Stoke On Trent.

It provides 75 apartments comprising 48 two bedroom flats and 27 one bedroom flats. All the flats are designed to Lifetime Home Standards and can be considered to be “wheelchair lite”. Further facilities on site include communal lounges, restaurant facilities, launderette, landscaped gardens, hair and beauty salons, gyms and a variety of social and activity events.

Our Approach

Eric Wright FM played a critical role in the design development of the entire scheme ranging from safety and security strategies to multi-party fire evacuation policies and procedures.

We also worked very closely with the independent certifier in the witnessing and commissioning stages as well as being responsible for the initial mobilisation phase leading into steady state operation with all of the new occupiers.
