Safety Bus Comes to the Eric Wright Group

The Network Rail 365 Safety Bus will be arriving at our 506 office on the 14th February to keep our employees up to date with health and safety legislation and identified issues within the Rail industry.

Safety 365 is a national communications programme built on the philosophy of keeping anyone who works on or around the railway safe and healthy every minute of every day of the year.

The strategy uses a structured framework of campaigns to deliver clear, evocative messages addressing health and safety risks, personal protective equipment issues, manual handling, infectious diseases, working at heights, drugs and alcohol, safe driving and safety critical communications.

The bus is an effective way to reach people which is getting results – workforce accident figures have reduced significantly, while formal research, informal feedback and the growing interest in Safety 365 from outside Network Rail all demonstrate the success of the campaign.

The Eric Wright Group have booked the bus to offer briefings to our members of staff. EWG Health and Safety Advisor (Lead Rail) Daron Billington will be presenting on Law – Know Your Responsibilities and centres around individual responsibility especially for supervisors and managers.

Members of Eric Wright Civil Engineering have been invited to attend what we expect to be a very successful safety event.
