Health Checks at Talbot Road

The site team at Talbot Road have been busy organising seminars on subjects such as healthy eating, stopping smoking, alcohol awareness and weight management which are available to everyone on site.

In September, Michelle Naylor from ABL Health ran a group on weight management which 25 operatives attended. These were free of charge to attend and Michelle discussed how the programmes worked who would be eligible and how they could gain access to the free service.

She brought along many leaflets which were handed out and also offered free BMI checks to anyone who wanted one.

On 19 November we are holding further workshops on site covering:

  • Lung health checks
  • Blood pressure and cholesterol checks
  • Quit smoking campaign
  • Sexual health awareness
  • Alcohol information

We hope these will be well attended and promote healthy living to our staff and operatives.
