EWFM carbon dashboard

Our Facilities Management business works in partnership with health care industry clients across the North West, to help reduce their carbon emissions and accelerate their journey to achieving Net Zero.

The NHS has agreed a target of net zero across all of their buildings by 2030. To achieve this objective, Eric Wright Facilities Management (EWFM) has been proactive in helping our clients create decarbonisation plans at a building level, supported by the development of a bespoke Carbon Dashboard. The dashboard provides insight to help inform decarbonisation strategies.

Over the last 3 years we have significantly invested in digital tools which allow us to provide our customers with visibility of their carbon performance throughout the year, both on a year to date and monthly basis.

The carbon dashboard is made up of various interactive ‘widgets’ which contain KPI data and graphs. Users can select individual widgets to drill into the data behind the KPI or you can use filters to change dates/sites/utilities etc. The dashboard can be as bespoke as the client requires and is largely built on half-hour energy data that we receive from our suppliers on a daily basis.

The EWFM in-house energy team analyses the data provided by this bespoke dashboard to work collaboratively with the client to identify improvement areas and various environmental initiatives, improving the energy efficiency of their buildings, which will support their overall environmental aspirations.

One of the most significant findings from our Carbon Dashboard shows that one of our client’s carbon emissions have reduced by 32.1% in comparison to the same month in the previous year, demonstrating the success of the initiatives we have been implementing.

We have had a brilliant response to the dashboard so far and we are continuing to develop the technology to assist in ensuring our clients achieve their Net Zero targets.
