Eric Wright Water, throughout the pandemic, has continued with business as usual working closely with all of their clients to keep the economy flowing with both clean and waste water.
A recent project for client, United Utilities, saw the first of 6 pumpsets manufactured for a large Clean Water project in the UK. The project has passed the fixed speed test run and will be ready for a full string test with the pump inverter.
This has very much been a collaborative project with the end user, consultants, and subcontractors who have fully supported the project throughout.
To gain a better perspective of the pumps – they are 5.3 metres long, 2.9 metres high and weigh just short of 15 tonnes each. On this project, there are 4 LLC split case pumps fitted with a 1.4mW motor and 2 LLC split case pumps fitted with a 670kW motor. The maximum design duty for the larger pumps are 1250l/s @ 102m head with the 2 smaller pumps operating at 521l/s @ 102m head.
The pumpsets are built to latest UK drinking water inspectorate requirements as these will be pumping potable water. We would like to thank all of our supply chain partners on this project for continuing to work throughout recent challenging conditions to support the region’s water systems.
