Industry Day – 2019
On Thursday 28th November, 16 students from our partner schools, Southlands High School and Bishop Rawstorne Academy, were invited to experience an Industry day at the Eric Wright Group HQ.
During the day the students learnt about how the Eric Wright Group manages development projects around the North West, what each of our business units do, and how each department within the company works helping them to gain an insight into careers in construction.
The students participated in a number of workshops including CV writing skills and mock interviews. They met staff from several departments across the business including Eric Wright Construction, Civil Engineering, Water, Facilities Management and Applethwaite Homes.
Extended work experience placements with the Eric Wright Group
Three students from the Eric Wright Learning Foundation have been given a fantastic opportunity to join us for their extended work experience placements.
All three students are studying Level 3 Professional Construction at the Eric Wright Learning foundation based at Preston’s College, and will be joining us for block placements at both our head office and across a number of our live sites to gain hands on experience.
In November, January and March, Eric Wright Civil Engineering, Eric Wright Construction and Eric Wright Facilities Management will be showing them the ropes.
