New Student Accommodation Caton Court Reaches Highest Point as Construction Continues Apace

Student housing provider, aparto, is celebrating the ‘topping out’ of Caton Court, its new 631-bedroom student accommodation building in the heart of Lancaster.  On the 5th of September the building reached its highest point, a major milestone in the construction of the scheme.

Caton Court, which is being delivered by Eric Wright Construction, will be aparto’s first Lancaster residence and will be ready to accept students from September 2019.  Virtual reality tours will be offered from October to provide a realistic glimpse into  the impressive building and a Marketing Suite follow in January 2019.

Offering the ultimate student lifestyle, Caton Court will provide the perfect blend of stylish accommodation and state-of-the-art amenity space, including a communal Sky Lounge on the 11th floor.

Caton Court is ideally located for students in Lancaster, just five minutes from the city centre and with the University of Lancaster and the University of Cumbria in easy reach.

Accommodation will range from townhouses and penthouse apartments through to private studios or rooms with access to shared kitchens and communal spaces.  All rooms will be fully furnished and stylishly decorated, with plenty of storage and study space, comfy beds, and ensuite shower rooms.

Offering some of the best views of the city skyline, the Sky Lounge will feature a gym, cinema space, study rooms and games areas.  Student residents will also have an opportunity to relax and socialise in a large courtyard within the complex, with outdoor games, seating, and covered areas which can be enjoyed all year round.

aparto’s mission is to provide the ultimate student lifestyle, with a strong emphasis on amenity and service.  Caton Court will have a friendly on-site team to act as a point of contact and to help organise and run an extensive events programme to really create a sense of community and belonging in the residence.

Jasmine Dillon, Marketing & Experience Director at aparto, said: “We are working hard to create the very best student homes for our future guests, with impeccable design and focus on community lifestyle.

“Reaching the uppermost heights is a major milestone in the construction of the building.  We look forward to showcasing the development further when we launch our virtual reality tours next month.

We’re very big on student experience and we’re excited to run some pop up events across the town and uni over the coming year to showcase what the aparto lifestyle is all about.”

John Wilson, managing director of Preston-based Eric Wright Construction, commented: “This is a fantastic scheme for Lancaster and we are pleased to have reached this important milestone in the build.

“With our extensive experience in student accommodation as well as our significant knowledge and presence in Lancashire, it’s an honour to play an integral part in bringing forward this modern facility for the students of Lancaster.”
