Maple Grove Developments Proudly Sponsor the Buzz Award at Hive Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards 2018

Maple Grove Developments, part of the Eric Wright Group, are delighted to have sponsored, for the third year running, The Buzz Award at the Hive Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards 2018.

Andrew Dewhurst, director at Maple Grove Developments, said: “We’re proud to be sponsoring The Buzz Award again this year and are delighted to be supporting local enterprises.

“These awards recognise a wide-variety of businesses and talented individuals and highlight the importance of the role they play in providing growth to the economy within the region.

“We have been, and continue to be, involved in a number of schemes, including Blackburn Cathedral Quarter, the new bus station, together with various other projects in the borough.”

The black tie gala dinner and awards ceremony took place on Thursday 5 July 2018 at King George’s Hall in Blackburn.

The Hive Awards celebrate and reward the outstanding work of businesses from different sectors and inspirational individuals from across Blackburn and Darwen.  There are 23 categories including Retail Business Award,  Hive Employee of the Year, Newcomer, Investing in Future Skills, International Achievement, High Growth, Innovation, Made in Blackburn and Darwen Manufacturing, Creative and Digital, Buzz, Family Business and Commitment to Blackburn with Darwen.

The Buzz Award was presented, by Richard Willacy of Maple Grove Developments, to the National Festival of Making and, interestingly, Eric Wright Group were involved in the winner’s event by delivering construction workshops to the local community through their Careers Ambassadors programme.
