MINDFULNESS IS THE ORDER OF WORLD FM DAY

This week, the Eric Wright FM team has swapped hard hats for massage chairs, yoga mats and running trainers and is enjoying some well-earned health and wellbeing activities. Here at our HQ in Bamber Bridge, we’re celebrating World FM Day and Learning at Work Week, whilst raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.

With this year’s theme, “Enabling positive experiences”, World FM Day is always a key date in our diaries –  allowing us to take time out from our busy work schedules and to recognise that facilities management plays an integral role in positive customer, client and employee experience, according to our professional body, BIFM.

We’ve got a full line-up of mindfulness exercises to enjoy throughout the day, from yoga, beauty and massage to endorphin-pumping meta fit gym sessions. Employees have been encouraged to book their places and take advantage of the expertise brought in, to indulge themselves and remember the importance of health and wellbeing.

After a hectic few months, winning new contracts with the NW fire stations and the NHS SBS Framework listing, it’s great to be able to down tools and take stock of our industrious efforts with some time for us, and to look forward to the healthy pipeline of jobs to undertake.

We have tied our World FM Day into our fourth consecutive year of Learning at Work, sharing knowledge from other Eric Wright divisions, including Trust initiatives and Partnerships, plus refresher workshops on social media, GDPR and First Aid.

Minds will be full and mindfulness will prevail at EWFM this week…
