Eric Wright Secures Spot on £8billion School Building Framework

Eric Wright Construction, part of the Eric Wright Group, has secured a place on the government’s £8billion school building framework.

The four-year framework from the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) is divided into 22 lots by region and project value. Eric Wright Construction has been awarded a place on the North West low value lot that covers projects worth up to £4.5million.

It’s the second time that the Lancashire-headquartered contactor has secured a place on a framework with the ESFA, having been appointed to five school building projects worth in excess of £27million under the current ESFA Regional Framework which expires in 2018.

Stand-out schemes for the contractor include Unity Community Primary Manchester, Burnley High School and Christ Church Primary School Ellesmere Port.

The new framework begins on 27 November, with schools and local authorities then able to procure school building programmes, including the design and build of free schools, academies and other education facilities.

John Wilson, managing director of Eric Wright Construction, comments: “Securing a second consecutive framework place is testament to the hard work of the entire team and our ability to deliver top-class new and refurbished school buildings.

“We’ve outstanding design and build capabilities, producing innovative schemes with sustainability, value for money and modern educational needs at their core. Every child deserves the right to learn in a modern school with state-of-the-art facilities and we’re proud to play a big role in achieving this goal.”
