Applethwaite Starts Work on Rural Housing Scheme

The Blenkett View scheme comprises 16 two, three and four bedroom detached and terraced properties and two three-bed detached bungalows.

Designed to complement the traditional village setting with a natural stone construct, the spacious family homes are located close to local amenities, excellent schools and offer easy access for commuters.

A sales office will be opening on the site in the coming weeks, with the first show home ready to view in July 2017. Prices for a detached property will start at £245,000 with the first home due to complete for residents to move in late summer 2017 and the overall completion of the site is expected early 2018.

Colin Hetherington, director of Applethwaite Ltd, said: “This small development has already generated huge interest, particularly from those locally, and will make strides to improve the quality of housing and meet the ever increasing demand for new properties.

“Nestled in a highly desirable area and just a short drive from the coastline, we don’t expect these properties to be on the market long before they’re snapped up.”
