Eric Wright Construction supports PlanBEE

Eric Wright Construction is supporting PlanBEE, an award-winning higher apprenticeship programme that aims to create skilled jobs in the construction sector and attract new talent to the industry.  Previously, 94 percent of graduates securing a job in the sector or progressed to a higher level of study.

In Manchester, the successful candidates will be employed to learn ‘on the job’ whilst being taught multiple disciplines within the sector, including architecture, structural and building services engineering, cost management and construction on prestigious projects such as the restoration and refurbishment of Manchester’s Grade I listed Town Hall.

Successful candidates will work for Eric Wright Construction and many of our esteemed partners and colleagues, including Manchester City Council, Manchester Life, Purcell, Ramboll, Faithful and Gould, Sisk, Turner & Townsend and Buttress.

John Hartnett, managing director of Eric Wright Construction said: “The scheme promotes the diverse roles and opportunities available in the construction sector and helps to identify the correct skill set and attributes for a successful career.  One of our previous apprentices is currently concluding her studies and is looking forward to furthering her career as a site manager with the Group.”

Recruitment for the two-year programme is underway for the September 2021 start.  Anybody living in a Manchester City Council postcode area, aged over 18 with a passion for design, construction, and leadership is eligible.  Apply here: https://www.gateshead.ac.uk/planbee/Manchester
