In 2004, the Eric Wright Group formed a strategic development relationship with Robert Hughes Limited, a high end residential company based in Cumbria - this relationship led to the formation of Applethwaite. In 2008, Robert Hughes Limited and Applethwaite became wholly owned by the Eric Wright Group.
