Eric Wright Construction Double Winners at the LABC Building Excellence Awards

Bolton One, Leisure, Research and Education Centre received a Commendation in the Best Community Building category and finalist in Best Education Development while Townside Office and Premier Inn, Bury scooped first place in the Best Large Commercial Building category.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards recognise excellence achieved through building standards, technical innovation and sustainable designs; and the awards celebrate the very best construction in the region.

Bolton One is a state of the art, mixed-use, health, leisure and educational facility which involved the design and construction of combined facilities for three client organisations promoting the health and wellbeing of Bolton people. Sustainability and inclusivity are central to the development, delivering a BREEAM excellent rating; with a town centre site providing outstanding accessibility for all Bolton residents. 

Townside Office and Premier Inn, a development for Ask designed by Carey Jones with Eric Wright Construction architects, includes the design and build of six storey office block for Six Town House Housing Association and a six storey 115 bed Premier Inn hotel and restaurant for Whitbread, together with extensive public realm works. This complex project received a BREEAM Very Good rating.
